Grandparents Day

This week Oakland Christian held their bi-annual Grandparents Day! Each grade Preschool through 5th grade sang a song or quoted a cute poem. Connor didn't really enjoy the repetitiveness of practicing for such an event. When sharing about the pieces his class would be doing he would whap his head and say, "It's so boring! We do it over and over and over!" He was cracking us up with his annoyance, but he was very respectful and gracious at performance time.

It took Paigey a few stanzas to get warmed up, but she kicked in gear and her adorableness counteracted the fact that she was always about two beats behind the rest of the group.
Don't let her steal the whole show though, her brother is two rows up doing a stellar job as well!

After the program the kids showed Papa and Grammy around their class rooms. Paige showed Grammy her favorite place at school-the dress up box!

Followed a close second by the play kitchen.

Jake with Papa & Grammy outside of his Kindy class room!

After the morning presentation and tour Grammy and Papa took the kids to one of their all time favorite lunch spots: Rainforest Cafe'. And spoiled us all with a sparkling volcano for dessert. Yum!

This was followed by an afternoon of stories and snuggles
