2010 Kindy Graduation

Thursday was another historic day in the Posey family, as we prepared for and attended Jake's Kindergarten Graduation. Paigey & I made edible graduation caps in honor of the occasion.

At the 2:00 Graduation, Paigey had a great time with all her Blue Bubble friends, who also all had big brother graduating (makes for fabulous play dates!!!) As you can see they were just giddy to be together. (Caitlin, Paigey, Pamela, and Kate) Can you say Trouble with a capital T and Silly with a capital S. They were squeaking and squealing and giggling like only little girls could get away with!
The two Kindy classes took us through their kindergarten journey using the letters A through Z and Jake's part included the reciting of Proverbs 3:6 "In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." (He did a great job! No fear of the mic!)

Here is Jake with his teacher, Mrs. Heidi Nichols

Uncle Josh came and surprised Jake, which made for a good laugh when Jake marched in with his classmates (to Pomp and Circumstance) and spotted Uncle Josh in the crowd. He lit up like a spark plug and waved enthusiastically...making Uncle Josh's effort to get there worth while!

Unfortunately, Steve was unable to attend the Graduation due to unstoppable circumstances with work, but we look forward to showing him the video and eating more grad caps with Daddy when things settle down some.

Mommy so proud with her "little"Buddy!

With Grammy & Papa

Flash forward to 2022, I see his photo happening again!!

What would a Graduation be without a dinner party following? Grammy & Papa joined us afterwards for a fun afternoon and evening of dinner and a yummy cookie treat!

It's hard to see, but here Connor is donning one of the chocolate caps on his head.
(Such a Connor thing to do!)

And of course, Puppy (& hippo) joined in the fun!

Jake is very ready to move into first grade. Mommy's not so sure she's ready to have him in a full day of school, but there's no doubt he will love it and excel. He is a very bright student. "Best in his class" as described by his teacher. He loves Jesus enthusiastically, is extremely creative and even at age 7 can spend all afternoon in the sand box!!! If Kindergarten truly lays the foundation for the rest of schooling, Jake has a great future ahead of him. God has been so good and we feel so blessed by Oakland Christian School, by Mrs. Nichols and by our sweet, sweet Jake. Congratulations, Buddy!!
